Department of Medical Laboratory Technology

  • To monitor overall progress of students during his/her graduation.
  • To improve presentation skills, overall communication skills, confidence and leadership qualities.
  • To improve academic performance of students.
  • To ensure the completion of syllabus according to the academic planner
  • Plans:
    • To focus on upgrading teaching learning techniques and research activity.
    • To motivate final year students for
      • Paper/poster presentation, project work etc.
      • Extension activities.
  • Through the mentorship program the teacher identifies slow learners and advanced learners where they maintain and monitor the overall growth of the student.
  • Parents are informed regarding attendance & sessional marks of their ward.
  • Frequent assignment, tests and seminars are conducted to improve students' performance in examination.
  • The syllabus is completed two months prior to university examination and this saved period is used for university examination preparation.
  • Practice of advanced teaching techniques (Projector, Nuelearn)

Services

Daily two hours postings in the following laboratories:

  • Sample Collection
  • Blood Bank
  • Biochemistry Clinical Laboratory
  • Microbiology Clinical Laboratory
  • Haematology Clinical Laboratory
  • Histopathology Clinical Laboratory

Interns are posted for six months in different sections of laboratory during compulsory rotatory internship.

Students also attend various camps organized by the institution.
