Bio-Chemistry

BIO-CHEMISTRY

The undergraduate program in Bio Chemistry is of 12 months consisting of two terms of 6 months each. Undergraduates are trained to acquire knowledge to integrate molecular events with structure and function of the human body in health and disease as well as taught basic practical skills for biochemical investigations in order to support clinical diagnosis of common disorders in the community.

Facilities

The Department of Bio-Chemistry has fully equipped laboratories in various disciplines like the Practical lab, Research lab and Clinical lab to train undergraduates in carrying out their research work. The clinical lab which is equipped with a fully automated analyser, semi autoanalyser, ELIZA reader and electrolyte analyser, provides round the clock service.
