Our area of work includes the following surgical streams in children from new born to adolescents.

  1. Thoracic Surgery ( Lung malformations, food pipe disorders)

  2. Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary (Intestinal obstructions, Appendicitis, Liver and pancreas disorders)

  3. Urology (Urinary infections, Hypospadias, Absent testis in scrotum, Kidney disorders).

  4. Laparoscopy (Minimally invasive surgery).

  5. Trauma Care (Chest and abdominal trauma).

  6. Surgical Oncology (Kidney tumors, other tumors of chest and abdomen).

  7. Neonatal Surgery (Malformations diagnosed during pregnancy).

  8. Congenital Reconstructive Surgery (Fused fingers, constrictions of limbs etc).

Surgery for hypospadias, Laparoscopic surgery, vascular access (Chemo ports, Hickman catheters) for Pediatric Oncology and surgical oncology for solid tumors are areas of special expertise.

We in pediatric surgery have progressed from the basic laparoscopic procedures like appendectomy, Orchidopexy to advanced procedures like Pyeloplasty for Uretero-pelvic junction obstruction, Cysto- gastrostomy for pseudo cyst of pancreas, fundoplication for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease etc.

With the recent acquisitions of Telescopic optical bronchoscope foreign bodies of airways are been retrieved with ease. Also 3mm laparoscopic instruments has allowed us to offer minimally invasive surgeries to neonates and infants.
