Neurosurgery Department in KSHEMA has been functioning since 2006.
The department caters to elective and emergencies for all patients (Adult and Pediatrics). We have daily OPDs and a 24x7 emergency service which is attended by a consultant neuro surgeon at all times. Complex brain and spine surgeries, Brain tumors, Aneurysm surgeries, spinal fixations, Stereotactic surgeries are all done in the Department . We have a fully equipped laminar flow OT with the latest advanced neurosurgical equipment. We offer special surgeries for complex CVJ anomalies.
Over the last 12 years more than 3000 surgeries have been done in the Department and our average OPD patients are almost 15-20/ day. We have 25 bedded Neuro ward and an exclusive state of the art Neuro ICU of 6 beds. For this Neuro ICU a Neuro resident is always posted for the patients care . The Neuro ICU charges are very reasonable. We have PGs from ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, & Facio -Maxillary Department posted with us throughout the year.
Department of Neurosurgery presently has two full time in-house consultants who are always available for these patients.

Started the Department in 2006 and has been running the department since then.
2. Dr. Siva Kumar .A, MS, MCh, (Neurosurgery) Assistant Professor
Presently postgraduates from the Departments of Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Maxilo Facial Surgery are posted throughout the year.
The Department of Neurosurgery runs the OPD every day and consultants are available from 9
am to 4 pm.
We have OT days every day and the OPD/OT is running by consultants taking turns to attend to either OT/OPD.
We are assisted is our OPDs by refuels from there Department of Neurology, General Medicine, ENT, Orthopedics and other allied department is the hospital our staff regularly attended regional / rational conferences in neurosurgery and CME programmers for academic and clinical skill advancements. We also conduct various camps in DK district and other districts to see the rural patients and advise them.
