The Department of Pharmacology is committed to provide quality education to the students and encourage them to participate in research activities. It has well trained staff with good experience in teaching as well as in research. The Department is significantly contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.
The Department has spacious teaching & research laboratories, demonstration rooms with audio-visual aids, up-to-date academic library and a well-equipped museum exhibiting various domains of pharmacology. It has replaced animal experiments with Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) to provide a virtual experience to the students. The Department maintains an Animal House, recognized by CPCSEA, Government of India, for research purposes. It has a robust Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC), under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).
