Celebration of International Day of Yoga

The NSS Unit, Nitte DU in association with the Medical Education Unit of KSHEMA, celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2024 at BC Alva Indoor Stadium, KSHEMA campus. Various yogasanas, including pranayama and meditation, were practiced during the event. Approximately 180 participants benefited from the program. As part of the celebration, yoga achievers from constituent colleges of Nitte University - Swathi Rathod & Ananya Mayya of NMAMIT; Prajna Acharya & Smruth of Dr. NSAM First Grade College; and Rahul Krishna if NIPE were felicitated. Chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice President (ISR & CRL), Nitte (DU) emphasized the importance of yoga for a stress-free life. Mr. Shashi Kumar Shetty, NSS Coordinator, Nitte DU welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr) Kishan Prasad HL, Dept. of Pathology & MEU Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
