The Dept. of Pediatrics, K.S Hegde Medical Academy, in association with the Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Services (IIEMS), Kottayam organized a workshop on "Pediatric Advanced Life Support", accredited by the American Heart Association. The program was held at NU-MEDISIM on 2nd & 3rd June 2023.

Prof. Dr. Seema Pavaman S, Dept. of Paediatrics was the course coordinator and lead instructor of the workshop.

Prof. Dr. Aby Dany Varghese and Dr. Niharika, Sr. Resident from the Dept. of Pediatrics, KSHEMA were the other instructors. The workshop was attended by twenty delegates from KSHEMA, A.J Institute of Medical Sciences, Kasturba Medical College and Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte, Mangalore.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Dr. Seema Pavaman, KSHEMA and was thereafter successfully conducted with audio-video simulation lectures, workstations and scenario practices over the two days. The program concluded with a written exam and simulation testing in various pediatric emergencies and the delegates were thereafter certified.
