ICRB 2023

To mark the Silver Jubilee celebrations of KS Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte (Deemed to be University) Mangalore, under the aegis of the Indian Society for Radiation Biology (ISRB), is organizing an International Conference on Radiation Biology (ICRB) from 23rd to 25th November 2023.

The themes for scientific sessions, invited lectures, oral and poster presentations address the recent developments in the subject areas. Due to tremendous rise in the use of ionizing radiation in medicine and rapid advances in this field, it is important to develop expertise in biodosimetry and spread awareness about radiation safety among the general public. It is also important to constantly monitor the biological consequences of radiation and therefore, epidemiology research must be conducted. Since public health is an important aspect in radiation safety, the affectivity of the source of ionizing radiation is one of the main components of good medical practice. Since 1989, the ICRB, is being organized by the ISRB, once every two years.

The ISRB proposes to cover a spectrum of topics under radiation research, for deliberations and discussions. Leading researchers from India and other countries participate in these deliberations and share their knowledge. The Scientific Committee of ICRB-2023 to be held in KS Hegde Medical Academy, aims to organize wide ranging discussions on topics of radiation research. It is hoped that leading Radiation Biologists from India and abroad will attend the conference and share their research. The ISRB wishes to especially encourage participation of young scientists and research scholars to present their research work. There are opportunities for young scholars to apply for awards and prizes. The entries will be selected after due evaluation by a panel of subject experts.
